In motion — unedited

"Is it see-through?"

Double-knit. Fully opaque, front and back.

"Will it ride up?"

The waist grips. The hem stays where it was cut.

"Will it hold shape?"

Stretch with recovery. It snaps back, wash after wash.

Waist detail
The whole trick

Modest neckline.
Immodest hemline.

Most minis buy attention with skin at the top. This one covers the chest, covers the shoulders, hides your bra straps entirely — then spends every bit of that credit on the leg.

That contradiction is why it reads expensive on a pavement at noon and devastating at eight in the evening. Same dress. No styling required.

Four things a cheaper dress can't do

Cut, not
printed on.

A waist that's engineered

Vertical shirring feeds into a true waist seam. The hourglass comes from the pattern, not from holding your breath.

Dots in register

Micro pin-dot on an even grid, lined up across every seam. Cheap dots wander at the side seam. Look for it. Ours don't.

A hem with weight

The skirt stands away from the leg instead of clinging to it. It flares when you walk, then falls straight back down.

Eleven seconds to dressed

No zip, no hooks, no under-layer to co-ordinate. Step in, pull up, leave. Shoes are the only decision left.

Back to top — size selection lives there

Daylight vs. indoors
On the colour

Black at night.
Navy in daylight.

It's ink navy. Under a flat ceiling light it reads black; step outside and the blue arrives. Both are correct, and both were the point — it's why this works with black boots and brown loafers in the same week.

Outdoors, 3pm

True navy

Indoors, 8pm

Reads black

Where it goes

Four shoes.
Four answers.

The dress doesn't change. Everything around it does.

Pavement

Loafers, gold hoops, a coffee. Errands that look deliberate.

Dinner

Slim heel, bare leg, one thin chain. Nothing else needed.

Airport

White trainers and an oversized coat. Sleeps in a carry-on.

The wedding

Strappy sandal, small bag, hair down. Guest, never the story.

Styled, day to night
Straight answers

Ask the hard ones.

Be honest — can you see anything through it?

No. It's a double-knit with a dense pin-dot print over it, which is the worst possible combination for anything showing through. Nude underwear, black underwear, doesn't matter. If you've been burned by a thin jersey mini before, this is the opposite of that fabric.

It's short. Do I have to think about sitting down?

You'll smooth it once as you sit — same as any mini — but it won't creep up as you walk. The shirred waist anchors the dress at your narrowest point, so the skirt swings from the waist instead of dragging on your hips and rolling.

Will it look like the videos on a body that isn't a model's?

The silhouette comes from the waist seam, not from you being a particular size. Stretch with recovery means it moulds to your shape and then holds — which is why it reads the same on a straight frame and an hourglass. Between sizes? Size down; this fabric is designed to be worn snug through the body.

How do I wash it without ruining it?

Cold machine wash, inside out, hang to dry. No tumble dryer — heat is what kills elastane in any dress. Do that and the waist stays as tight as day one. It doesn't need ironing either, which is most of the reason people re-wear it constantly.

Will the dots peel or fade?

They're printed into the knit, not a surface transfer sitting on top of it. Nothing to crack, flake or lift at the seams. The navy is dyed deep enough that it won't go grey-blue after a season of washing.

Shipping — and if the fit isn't right?

Orders are picked and dispatched within one business day, with tracking sent the moment your parcel is scanned; delivery windows are confirmed at checkout for your address. Try it on at home, over your own underwear, in your own mirror — if the fit isn't right, our returns process is deliberately boring and doesn't require you to argue with anyone.

As worn — no filter

The same three things,
two thousand times over.

Not see-through. Doesn't ride up. Makes a waist appear. We stopped being surprised by the pattern in the reviews a long time ago.

One dress, decision closed

Stop deciding.

Ink navy. Micro pin-dot. High neck, built-in waist, hem that stays put. It goes on in eleven seconds and it works in daylight, in restaurants, and in every photograph anyone takes of you in it.
